UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 14: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai and overall supervision of District Social welfare Officer, Kanika Gupta District Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women, Udhampur organised an awareness programme at Government Middle School Barrian in collaboration with OSC and CHL udhampur.
In this programme, CHL Counselor Pinky Pathania aware the children about the aim and objectives of Child Helpline and scholarship programmes launched by the govt. for Children. She also aware the participants about the evil practices in the society such as Child Marriage, Child Labour & Child Abuse etc. She laid stress on child labour and explained the disadvantages of child labour.They also share 1098 Child Helpline toll free no. for children.
Later, OSC Paramedical Babita also aware the children about domestic violence against women.They also share women helpline-181.
Meanwhile, Pooja Jamwal Gender Specialist Sankalp Hub for empowerment of women aware the children about the components of Mission Shakti and women centric schemes available for the upliftment and empowerment of women.She also explained the SMAS scheme of Social welfare Department and Sukanya Samridhi Yojana scheme for girls and shared jeene do helpline-9469793363.
At the end of the programme, the Department of Social Welfare facilitated needy girl students under the banner of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
