KULGAM, APRIL 10: Taking cognizance of a video circulating on social media showing students from the upper belt of Nandimarg Kulgam crossing a flowing stream to reach school, the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kulgam today visited the area to assess the situation on the directions of the Education Minister.

During the visit, the CEO observed that nearly 90 students from the upper areas were required to cross the stream daily due to the absence of a bridge while commuting to school.

Considering the seriousness of the issue and to ensure the safety and uninterrupted education of the students, the matter was addressed on the spot.

It was decided to facilitate teaching for Classes 9th and 10th at the newly constructed double-storey concrete school building located in the upper area of Nandimarg, where the majority of students from these classes are enrolled.

Accordingly, three well-qualified subject-specific teachers have been deployed to conduct classes at the said building, enabling students to continue their studies without facing the difficulty of crossing the stream.

With this arrangement put in place, the issue has been resolved and normal academic activities for the concerned students will now continue smoothly and safely.
