Terror Funding Case: SIA conducted 2nd round of searches at 10 locations in Kashmir; incriminating material, gadgets and documents seized

SIA conducts searches at several locations in Srinagar

Srinagar, Nov 10: In continuation to searches conducted on yesterday, State Investigation agency (SAI) Kashmir on Friday conducted searches at multiple locations falling in district Srinagar (02 locations). Pulwama (07 Locations) and Anantnag (01 location).

In a statement to Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) the searches were conducted in wee hours as part of ongoing investigation in case FIR No. 08/2023 of Police Station SIA Kashmir.

It is pertinent to mention that this is a terror funding case in which money amounting to 85 crores has been raised and laundered through covert channels which is suspected to be used in funding terrorism and secessionism in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir, it said.

Today’s operation marks the second round of searches in this case while SIA has already conducted extensive searches on Wednesday at New Delhi and various districts of Kashmir valley, the statement said, adding that the special teams of SIA have recovered incriminating material in the shape of electronic gadgets like mobile devices , laptops. SIM cards and documents like, passports, cheques, passbooks, credit/debit cards etc.

State Investigation Agency once again affirmed its resolve in dismantling the terror ecosystem from Jammu & Kashmir, the statement added. (KDC)
