ANANTNAG, MARCH 27: Directorate of Census Operations, Jammu and Kashmir, in collaboration with District Administration, Anantnag today started a three day training programme for census functionaries at Dak Bunglalow, Khanabal.

During the program, senior officials from the Directorate including Joint Chief Principal Census Officer, Assistant Chief Principal Census Officer/Nodal Officer and Census Officer imparted training to concerned district and other officers primarily focused on the Census Management and Monitoring System (CMMS).The centralised web-based digital platform is designed to plan, manage, execute, and monitor all census-related activities across administrative levels.

The key objectives of CMMS include enabling end-to-end management of census operations, establishing a clear role-based user hierarchy aligned with administrative responsibilities, and providing near real-time visibility and control through interactive dashboards and reports. It also supports structured creation and management of census functionaries, standardised workflows for training, field preparation, and allocation, as well as transparent monitoring of progress across jurisdictional levels.

The key aim of the program is to equip participants with the tools needed for efficient census execution, ensuring seamless operations in the upcoming Census-2027.

The programme was attended by Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs), DSEO, DIO NIC, Tehsildars & Executive Officers of Municipal Committees, among others.
