Srinagar, Jan 10 : A throat-slit body of a Kokernag resident was found at his rented accommodation in Amda Kadal area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar, officials said.
They said the post-mortem has been conducted, and further investigation is underway.
An official told the news agency that the body of a throat-slit youth was found at Amda Kadal area of Srinagar this afternoon.
He said the body was spotted at his rented accommodation in Amda Kadal, Srinagar, and the police soon arrived at the scene and took the body into their custody.
The deceased has been identified as Showkat Ahmad Naikoo (24), son of Gh Mohd Naik, a resident of Ahlan Gadole, Kokernag.
Meanwhile, the post-mortem of the deceased was conducted, and a thorough probe has been launched.
