Timely action by traffic police saves life of accident victims

JAMMU, MAY 14: Prompt evacuation of accident victims by on duty Traffic Police officials saved the lives of three people who were injured in a road mishap here near Purkhu Ghari on Akhnoor Road.

At about 0730 hours in the morning, SO (T) Akhnoor SI Ravinder Singh, while on way for duty, saw three injured persons lying on the road following a collision of a Mini Bus and Motor Cycle. The victims were lying on the road in aPool of blood. The SO Traffic Akhnoor, immediately swung into action and with the help of bystanders evacuated the injured shifting two of them in his own car and another on a Tata Mobile to GMC Jammu. The timely action by the officer saved precious lives.

The traffic police have advised the general Public to refrain from Over speeding and Rash Driving to avoid accidents. Moreover, safety gadgets viz Crash Helmet shall always be worn while driving two wheelers and also avoid Overloading and Triple Riding. Traffic Police is committed to serve the people and to ensure that the general public follows traffic rules.
