Traffic update: Jammu-Srinagar NHW clearing efforts underway at Dalwas, Ramban; SSG Road open, Mughal Road remains closed

Jammu , Oct 18: The Jammu & Kashmir Traffic Police has initiated comprehensive efforts at Dalwas on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NHW) to swiftly clear debris, ensuring the road’s prompt reopening.

Confirming this via their Twitter handle, the Traffic Police reported active engagement of man and machinery to efficiently manage the situation.

Presently, the Srinagar-Sonamarg -Gumari (SSG) Road remains open for vehicular movement, serving as a vital route for travelers. Conversely, the Mughal Road remains inaccessible due to snow accumulation, underscoring the persistent challenges associated with winter weather conditions.

Commuters are advised by the Jammu & Kashmir Traffic Police to exercise caution and stay updated on the evolving situation.
