KUPWARA, JULY 30: Following the devastating bus accident at Behnipora-Golipora crossing on Wednesday that resulted in one fatality and injuries to 51, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan closely oversaw the rescue operation.
The rescue operation was promptly carried out by a combined effort of the police, army, fire and emergency services, local residents, and the civil administration.
All injured individuals were shifted to GMS Handwara for medical treatment. Unfortunately, one teacher lost life in the accident.
DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Handwara, Javed Naseem Masoodi during her visit to the accident site, to oversee the situation. The bus has been lifted from the spot, and the road has been reopened for traffic.
