KISHTWAR, FEBRUARY 25: In a remarkable stride towards enhancing the foundational education system, the School Education Department Kishtwar, under the adept supervision of Chief Eduction Officer Prahlad Bhagat, in collaboration with respective ZEOs, has started the process for  strengthening  of 50 plus Pre-primary sections in government schools across the district, mirroring the educational standards as per the directives of the Directorate of School Education Jammu.

This collaborative initiative aims to fortify the roots of education in the district, with Pre Primary Sections equipped with facilities comparable to the best available in the private sector.

Government schools in the district now boast state-of-the-art amenities, including audio-visual aids such as LCD screens, vibrant child-friendly furniture, water cooler cum purifiers, indoor-outdoor play materials, and cutting-edge teaching-learning materials.

The introduction of these facilities represents a pivotal step towards not only providing a conducive learning environment but also bridging the educational gap in far-flung areas, particularly among the ST population, where dropout rates or never-enrolled ratios have been significant.

This initiative is poised to significantly impact the Out of School Students ratio, fostering an environment conducive to learning.

Prehlad Bhagat expressed enthusiasm about the initiative, highlighting its potential to motivate children in schools and contribute to the overall improvement of the education sector in the district. The focus on creating Model Kindergartens/ enhanced Pre Primary Sections with top-notch facilities underscores the commitment of the School Education Department to provide quality education to the youngest learners.

To date, more than 50 schools have successfully been fully equipped with state-of-the-art amenities in the Pre-primary sections   in various zones of  the district, with 17 schools in the Nagseni Zone and 25 schools in the Kishtwar Zone alone. The strategic distribution of these facilities  ensures that a wide spectrum of students benefits from this transformative initiative.

The success of this endeavor reflects not only the vision and dedication of the School Education Department but also the collaborative spirit among education officials and administrator in Kishtwar

As these Kindergartens continue to flourish, they are expected to serve as beacons of quality education, positively impacting the educational landscape of Kishtwar district but also fostering the activity based teaching learning for the children of the age group of 3-6 years, envisioned under the New Education Policy 2020.
