Transfusion Medicine Department, GMC Udhampur organises CME

UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 10: The Department of Transfusion Medicine, Government Medical College, Udhampur, today organised a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme, aimed to update healthcare professionals on best practices in Transfusion Medicine.

The CME programme was inaugurated by Principal GMC Udhampur Prof. (Dr.) Mrityunjay and attended by more than 100 delegates, including doctors, nurses, and technicians from various healthcare institutions across the region.

Several renowned experts including former HOD Blood Bank GMC Jammu, Dr. T R Raina delivered lectures highlighting the importance of safe blood transfusion practices and the role of Transfusion Medicine in patient care.

The CME programme was a huge success, and we are grateful to our esteemed faculty members and participants for making it a productive and engaging event,” said Dr. Lubna Naseer, Head of the Department of Transfusion Medicine, GMC Udhampur.

The programme also included interactive sessions, panel discussions, and case presentations by eminent speakers from Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College Pune, AIIMS Vijaypur various medical colleges of J and K providing a platform for participants to share their experiences and learn from each other, informed Dr. Lubna.

The programme has enhanced our knowledge and skills in Transfusion Medicine, and we look forward to applying these learnings in our daily practice,” said a participant faculty from other Institution

The CME programme on Transfusion Medicine organized by the Department of Transfusion Medicine, GMC Udhampur, was a significant step towards promoting excellence in healthcare and ensuring the safe and effective use of blood transfusion services in the region.
