Two held for beating 25yrs old youth to death

Srinagar Police on Monday arrested two persons for beating a 25yrs old youth to death in Khansahib area of Budgam district, a police spokesman said.

He said that the arrested accused persons involved in the commission of crime have been identified as Tahir Bashir Khan son of Bashir Ahmed Khan and Hilal Ahmed Lone son of Abdul Ganie Lone both residents of Kachwari Khan Sahib area of Budgam.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested persons had beaten a 25yrs old youth Fayaz Ahmed Najar son of Abdul Rashid Najar resident of Gurwaith Khan Sahib to death. The deceased was hit on his head at Kachwari and was immediately taken to hospital in a critical condition for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 60/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Khansahib and investigation set into motion.
