Udhampur administration convenes ‘Vande Mataram @150’ special phase campaign

UDHAMPUR, MARCH 23: District Administration Udhampur today observed special phase of the Vande Mataram @150 campaign, commemorating 150 years of the iconic National Song Vande Mataram.

The programme was held at the Conference Hall DC Office Complex, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Minga Sherpa.

The event was presided over by ADC Prem Singh and witnessed the presence of ACR Dr. Umesh Shan, CPO Uttam Singh, ACD Om Parkash, along with other officers, members of martyrs’ families, students and staff.

While addressing the gathering, the ADC paid rich tributes to the freedom fighters who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation. He expressed gratitude to all participants and highlighted that a series of activities and programmes will be organized across the district under the special phase campaign.

He further urged all stakeholders to actively participate in the celebrations, emphasizing that the commemoration should reflect India’s unity, diversity and enduring national ethos.

On the occasion, students of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir School presented the National Song Vande Mataram, adding a vibrant and patriotic fervour to the programme.
