Bandipora, October 27: As part of UT Foundation Day, the District Administration in collaboration with Education Department and Youth Services Department Bandipora Saturday organized a ‘Run for Unity’ wherein students from different schools participated showcasing the strength of community solidarity
The run was flagged off by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Umar Shafi in the presence of Nodal Officer Coordination/ACD Bandipora Mohomad Ashraf Hakak from Mini Secretariat Bandipora. Among others, the officials from education and youth services and sports departments were also present.
As many as 150 students gathered together to take part in the event. The run commenced from Mini Secretariat Bandipora and culminated at Konan village of Bandipora.
After the run, participants gathered at the finishing line for a celebratory ceremony. Prizes were awarded to the top finishers, and certificates of participation were given to all runners.
Similarly, run for unity was held at Gurez, which was organised by Zonal Physical Education Officer Gurez. Students from different schools participated in the event.
