KULGAM JUNE 03: As part of the national campaign Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan, a series of impactful awareness and outreach programs were conducted today at multiple locations including Manzgam, Asnoor, Tangmarg, Korel, and KB Pora in District Kulgam.

The initiative was jointly organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kulgam in close collaboration with the Agriculture Department and allied line departments. The programs were led by team leaders Dr. Ab Shakoor, Dr. Shahid Ahmed, and Dr. Tariq Iqbal, who sensitized the farming community about sustainable and climate-resilient agricultural practices, flagship government schemes, and the importance of farmer-centric innovations for a Viksit Bharat.

The activities were held under the supervision of Prof. Manzoor Ahmed, Nodal Officer and Head, KVK Kulgam, who emphasized the role of knowledge-driven agriculture in transforming rural livelihoods and aligning grassroots efforts with the national vision of agricultural self-reliance.

During the campaign, farmers were briefed about various programs such as PM-KISAN, PMFBY, Soil Health Card Scheme, and modern agri-technologies. Interactive sessions, demonstrations, and distribution of IEC materials were also held.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from farmers, farm women, and youth, and highlighted the strength of convergence between institutions to accelerate the transformation of rural agriculture in the region.
