Ganderbal, Feb 05 : Residents of Wayil village in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district have urged authorities to install a Jammu and Kashmir Bank ATM in the area, citing the inconvenience of traveling long distances for banking services.
Locals from the area told the news agency that they are being forced to visit nearby towns to withdraw cash, which becomes difficult, especially during emergencies.
“We face a lot of trouble as there is no ATM in our village,” said Tauseef, a resident of the area.
Another local, Bilal Ahmad said that tourists visiting the area also struggle due to the unavailability of an ATM. “Wayil is a frequently visited spot, and having an ATM here would benefit both residents and visitors,” he said.
Moreover, the villagers have appealed to J&K Bank and the concerned authorities to address their demand at the earliest
