DC Udhampur listens to people’s issues at Latti

UDHAMPUR, JANUARY -8: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai today listened to the issues and demands of locals at a public outreach camp held at Latti as part of the weekly block Diwas initiative.
A large number of residents and officials from across line departments participated in the event.

During the interactive session, former PRI members and locals projected several demands seeking forest clearance of the road from Sira to Shivgali, establishment of a sports stadium in the area to promote sports activities, establishment Kendriya Vidyalaya, introduction of a bus service from Ramnagar to Latti, provision of ultrasound machine and up-gradation of PHC Latti to a Community Health Centre and appointment of a veterinary doctor at Latti and Dudu. They also demanded measures to augment water supply, construction of Panchayat Ghar and a health sub-centre at Latti B, Installation of a mobile tower at Dudu to improve connectivity, establishment of a potato farming house at Latti to support local farmers.

The DC assured the locals of timely redressal of their issues. She emphasized the administration’s commitment to improving connectivity and infrastructure in remote areas. She also briefed the participants about the Mission Yuva baseline survey and the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, urging them to take maximum benefit of these initiatives.

The DC informed the gathering about proposed road projects aimed at boosting connectivity and promoting economic growth in the region.

Later, the DC visited PHC Latti and enquired about the facilities being provided to patients and held interaction with farmers producing onion crop and participated in signature campaign against narcotics and drug abuse.

The program witnessed active participation of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Prem Singh, SDM Dudu Dr Manmeet Kumar and officers of various departments.
