DODA, JUNE 12: The District Administration Doda took a significant step towards eradicating child labour by celebrating the World Day against Child Labour today.

The event, held across numerous educational institutions including Girls Higher Secondary School Doda, Boys Higher Secondary School Doda, GHSS Thathri, and several others, encompassed a series of impactful activities and seminars, both in-person and through virtual platforms.

The theme of this year’s commemoration, “Let’s Act on Our Commitments: End Child Labour,” resonated throughout the gatherings, reinforcing the imperativeness to prioritize education over exploitative labor practices.

Participants, including officers from the ALC and DSWO, principals of the respective schools, as well as the staff members from CWC, OSC, Childline, and Social Welfare Department, united in their pledge to combat child labour and foster a culture of education and empowerment.

As we unite in solidarity against the scourge of child labour, the District Administration Doda reaffirms its unwavering commitment to safeguarding the rights and well-being of every child. Together, let us say yes to education and resoundingly no to child labour.
