SAMBA, NOVEMBER 19: To mark World Toilet Day, an awareness event was held today in District Administrative Complex Samba to promote the importance of cleanliness and sanitation in improving public health and livelihoods.
Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by MLA (Samba) Surjit Singh Salathia; MLA (Vijaypur) Chander Prakash Ganga; (Vijaypur) and MLA (Ramgarh) Devinder Kumar Manyal.
Highlighting the government’s commitment towards sanitation, sanction letters under the Individual Household Latrine (IHHL) Scheme were presented to seven (07) beneficiaries followed by a special Signature Campaign.
Speaking on the occasion, Jugal Kishore Sharma emphasized the need for collective efforts to achieve the objectives of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
The participating dignitaries reiterated the importance of public involvement in maintaining hygiene and ensuring a cleaner environment.
