KUPWARA, JUNE 02: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, Zila Sainik Welfare Office (ZSWO) Kupwara in collaboration with District Administration today organized an Ex-Service Men (ESM) rally cum awareness programme about various schemes of KVIB and PM Surya Ghar – Muft Bijli Yojana in the district.
The main event was held at Chamkote, Tangdhar which was attended by Secretary Sainik Board, Kupwara, Col SS Raja (Retd), and a team of officers from KVIB Kupwara and SDO Electric Sub Division Tangdhar. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the Ex-servicemen.
The aim of this meet was to resolve their issues/ queries and promote awareness about the schemes which are offered by KVIB as most of ex-servicemen are young and retire at early age and have to start a second career for earning a livelihood.
Awareness on Muft Bijli Yojana was held on the occasion through which the government provides huge subsidies to the consumers and to reduce the electricity bills and power woes.
