As a part of public outreach programme, “πππΌππΌ πΏπππΌπ” was organised in district Reasi. It is an initiative of Government of J&K UT to bridge the gap between Police and Public and also to listen and redress the grievances of common masses.
Today on the directions of SSP Reasi *Ms Mohita Sharma IPS* Thana Diwas was organised at P/S Ransoo, PP Banganga, Dharmari, P/S Mahore, Sungri and PP Bhambla by District Police Reasi.
The programme was chaired by Sh. Iftkhar Ahmed- JKPS, Additional Superintendent of Police Reasi alongwith SHO P/S Ransoo Insp. Rakesh Kumar at P/S Ransoo, SDPO Katra Sh. Surinder Singh Baloria alongwith SHO P/S Katra Insp. Nishant Gupta at PP Banganga, SDPO Mahore Sh. Ajaz Choudhary-JKPS alongwith SHO P/S Mahore Insp. Charanjeet Singh at P/S Mahore, SHO P/S Arnas Sh. Rakesh Kumar at PWD Guest House Dharmari, SHO P/S Chassana Insp. Ranjeet Singh Rao at Sungri and SHO P/S Pouni Insp. Parmod Singh at PP Bhambla.
Civil Society members and respectable persons of the areas remained present on the occasions.
During the Programme, participants highlighted various issues of public importance, and they were assured that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and that of Civil Administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal. While speaking on the occasion, it was reiterated that policing at grass root level in the District would be revamped to enhance proficiencies of the cops and to develop confidence among the people.

Referring to the criminal activities in the area, it was stressed upon the officers to brace up with a missionary spirit to fight against drug abuse and other social evils from the society and to take a pledge for serving the society with missionary spirit and maintain the dignity of force. While urging for better policing, it was exhorted that public grievances at grass root level would be dealt on priority and patiently, and were assured that such meetings would be held in every nook and corner of the District to further strengthen the Police-Public relations for achieving better results.
While Sharing the details SSP Reasi conveyed that it is an opportunity to connect with people and is beneficial for sharing of information also.
