JAMMU, MARCH 07: State and District TB Control Society Jammu, in collaboration with ELFA International and under the guidance of Mission Director National Health Mission J&K Nazim Zai Khan has initiated a dedicated effort to improve the health and recovery of TB patients.
As a part of the initiative, ELFA International provided 100 nutritional baskets to TB Patients under Nikshay Poshan Yojana during the 100-Day TB elimination Campaign.
The event was held in the presence of Director Health Services Jammu Dr Rakesh Magotra, CEO ELFA International Nawaab Mehraan Khan, Vice president ELFA International Iftikhaar Ahmed Mir, Chief Medical Officer Jammu Dr Harbaksh Singh, Program Manager NTEP J&K Dr.Vijay Kumar, Logistic Officer ELFA Mohammad Zuain Wani, State TB Officer Jammu Dr Jyoti Jolly, District TB Officer Jammu Dr Anu Saloch and Project Co-ordinator ELFA International Ms. Komal Slathia.
The initiative aims to strengthen TB care services by ensuring better nutrition and support for Patients contributing to the larger goal of TB Elimination in Jammu (J&K) by 2025. The vision for which was envisaged by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.
