JAMMU, AUGUST 07: Director Agriculture Jammu, Anil Gupta, today chaired a review meeting at Krishi Bhawan, Talab Tillo, Jammu to assess the physical and financial progress, including expenditure incurred under various schemes implemented across the region. The meeting focused on Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS), CAPEX and the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP).

The meeting was attended by Joint Director Agriculture (SLUB) S. Sohan Singh, Deputy Director (Planning) Priyanka Parihar and sectoral heads of different schemes under the Agriculture Department. Chief Agriculture Officers (CAOs) from all districts of Jammu Division participated via virtual conferencing.

During the session, the Director emphasised the need to expedite utilisation of available funds to ensure timely and maximum achievement under ongoing schemes. He instructed officers to strictly follow quality parameters and Codal formalities while executing infrastructure development works as per approved Detailed Project Reports.

He further directed officers to identify and address bottlenecks that may hinder effective implementation of farmer welfare schemes. He particularly stressed proactive field-level monitoring and coordination to ensure schemes are implemented smoothly and their benefits reach the intended farming community.

The Director also reviewed the progress of flagship CSS schemes including PMKSY, PDMC, SMAM, RAD, RKVY, PKVY, ATMA, NFSM and others. Detailed discussions were held with CAOs on targets achieved and strategies to improve outcomes under these schemes.

The Director instructed all CAOs to submit the latest Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs) to the Directorate without delay. He urged officers to maintain high standards of efficiency, transparency and accountability, ensuring financial and physical progress aligns with set timelines and objectives.
