SAMBA, APRIL 02: The District Administration Samba, under the supervision and guidance of Deputy Commissioner Ayushi Sudan, today successfully concluded the three-day district-level training programme for District and Charge Level Officers/Officials for Census 2027 Phase-I (House Listing & Housing Census HLO). The training programme was held at the Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.
The programme was conducted in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Directorate of Census Operations, J&K, Jammu, with the primary objective of strengthening the capacity of census functionaries at district and charge levels.
The sessions focused on sensitizing officers to their role and responsibilities, key concepts of House Listing Operations and practical training on digital platforms including the Census Management & Monitoring System (CMMS) and HLBS web applications.
The training sessions were organized over three days-March 24, 25 and April 02, 2026-ensuring comprehensive coverage of all operational aspects required for the smooth and efficient conduct of Census 2027 Phase-I.
The training was imparted to the participants by the officers from the Directorate of Census Operations, J&K Jammu, including Seirin Kohli, Nodal Officer and District Coordinators Himanshu Koul and Sanjay Kumar.
Deputy Commissioner Samba, Ayushi Sudan, who is also the Principal Census Officer for the district, emphasized the importance of accurate and reliable data collection. She stressed the need for close coordination among field-level functionaries to ensure the success of the upcoming census exercise.
The programme witnessed active participation from Additional Deputy Commissioner Jagdish Singh; Assistant Commissioner (Rev), Sub Divisional Magistrates, District Informatics Officer NIC, Assistant Director, DSEO Office along with Charge Officers (Tehsildars, Chief Executive Officer/ Executive Officers MCs) and other officers/officials associated with the forthcoming census exercise.
