3 Teachers Suspended in Kupwara Over Alleged Irresponsibility in Providing MDM As Per Chart Menu

Srinagar: Chief Education Officer Kupwara during an inspection put under suspension three teachers in Handwara for their alleged irresponsibility vis-à-vis providing of Mid-day Meals (MDM) as per standard chart menu.

CEO Abdul Hamid Faani made a surprise visit to High School Pohrupeth and High School Guloora, during which it was observed that the teachers were found irresponsible in providing MDM as per chart menu. “It was observed that FLN TLM was not distributed among the eligible students of UPS Malik Mohalla Galoora and GMS Galoora clubbed with High School Guloora”, reads an order, a copy of which lies with GNS. “The quality of MDM was very poor and was not served as per diet menu”, reads the order.

“The matter was viewed seriously and accordingly the following teachers are hereby placed under suspension till further orders; Hilal Ahmad Sheikh, High School Pohrupeth; Ghulam Hassan Malik TG-II, UPS Malik Mohalla, clubbed with HS Galoora Pohrupeth and Mudasira Jan, HS Galoora”, the order reads.

“Meanwhile the salary of Headmaster HS Pohrupeth and HS Galoora is kept withheld for poor monitoring and administrative grip”, the order reads adding the inquiry shall be conducted separately. (GNS)
