Bandipora:- Hashmee FC Bandipora advanced to the final of the 5th Sir Mohammad Iqbal Memorial Football Championship 2023 after beating premier division Club Novelty FC by 2-1 in the second semi-final of the competition at the Sher i Kashmir Sports Stadium, in Bandipora.
Hashmee FC Bandipora came from behind through both goals from Aqib Ayaz in the first half of the game and put the Gaurs ahead in the game.
In the second semi final of the championship both the teams exhibited quality football and tried to penetrate the defense but it was Hashmee FC who scored the first goal in the 8th minute of the game in shape of Aqib Ayaz, it was just in 23rd minutes of the game when Aqib Ayaz from Hashmee FC doubled the lead through a prefect header, in the dying minutes of the first half Novelty FC Srinagar score the first goal and first half ended with a scoreline of 2-1 in favour of Hashmee FC.
2nd half too started on a high charge as novelty FC tried hard to score the equaliser but the leopard like reflexes of Hashmee FC goalkeeper Parvaiz Qadir saved the match for his team and all the shots on target were saved by him.
In the end of the match star goalkeeper Parvaiz Qadir of Hashmee FC was declared man of the match for his overall performance.
