RAMBAN, FEBRUARY 21: The Motor Vehicle Department Ramban today conducted a massive enforcement drive against traffic violators, particularly targeting vehicles operating without permits and those found unfit. The drive was conducted along the Ramban-Dharmkund-Sangaldan-Gool route.

During the surprise checking, the enforcement team seized eight vehicles and issued 25 challans under various provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and associated rules. A total fine amounting to ₹1.14 lakh is expected after the clearance of these challans.

As part of the drive at Sangaldan, ARTO Er Kuldeep Singh conducted an interactive session and counseling for drivers, conductors, and vehicle owners, emphasizing adherence to the safety parameters and traffic regulations to ensure passenger safety. He reiterated that such enforcement drives and crackdowns on traffic violators would continue across all routes in the district to maintain strict traffic discipline.

The enforcement operation received active support from local law enforcement authorities. At Dharmkund SHO Rajeev Kumar and in Sangaldan Chowki Officer Yudhveer Kumar joined the drive and extended their full cooperation.

The traffic enforcement team included ARTO Er Kuldeep Singh, MVI Vishawjeet Singh Raju and AMVI Darpan Sharma.

The administration has urged all vehicle operators to comply with traffic regulations and ensure the safety of passengers by adhering to prescribed norms. Such drives will remain a routine effort to enhance road safety and maintain order on district roads.
