COVID-19: J&K reports only17 fresh cases, no death

Sgr reports 08 cases; Case tally at 453,493 death toll stands at 4,750, active cases reach to 163, recovery rate reaches to 98.92

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday reported 17 fresh cases pushing the number of active cases to 163 while as no death was reported in last 24 hours in the UT.
With no more death, the death toll in J&K stands at 4,750 and 17 fresh positive cases reported on Wednesday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 453,493.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 163 new cases, 106 belong to Kashmir division while as 57 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 287,291 including 284,762 recoveries and 2,423 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 166,202 including 163,818 recoveries and 2,327 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 163 including 106 from Kashmir division and 57 from Jammu division.
With 39 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 448,580 which is 98.92 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 08 from Srinagar, 00 from Baramulla, 01 from Budgam, 00 from Pulwama, 00 from Kupwara, 00 from Anantnag, 00 from Bandipora, 00 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 00 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 08 from Jammu division include 06 from Jammu district, 00 from Udhampur, 00 from Rajouri, 02 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.
As per officials figures, 102,336 positive cases including 907 deaths and 101,374 recoveries are from Srinagar, 37,622 including 304 deaths and 37,292 recoveries are from Baramulla, 34,819 including 34,577 recoveries and 237 deaths are from Budgam, 18,421 including 18,217 recoveries and 201 deaths are from Pulwama, 21,742 including 174 deaths and 21,558 recoveries are from Kupwara, 22,419 including 22,200 recoveries and 219 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,685 cases including 13,562 and 118 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,626 including 13,542 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 16,317 including 16,196 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,304 including 6,244 recoveries and 60 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 76,144 including 74,895 recoveries and 1,223 deaths are from Jammu district, 14,764 including 14,617 recoveries and 147 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,804 including 12,553 recoveries and 249 deaths are from Rajouri, 11,523 including 11,365 recoveries and 144 deaths are from Doda, 11,409 including 11,241 recoveries and 166 deaths are from Kathua, 9,086 including 8,958 recoveries and 125 deaths are from Samba, 5,892 including 5,842 recoveries and 46 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,740 including 7,628 recoveries and 110 deaths are from Poonch, 8,138 including 8,060 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,702 including 8,653 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 6,237,654 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 33,753 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 163 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 5,739,987 persons have completed the surveillance period and 459,001 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 23,918,162 samples are available. Out of 23,918,162 the number of samples tested negative stands at 23,464,669 while as 453,493 have tested positive, among them 163 cases are active, 448,580 have recovered and 4,750 persons have died—(KNO)
