REASI, JULY 22: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Reasi Nidhi Malik chaired a meeting today to review the Draft District Capex Plan 2025–26. The meeting involved a detailed discussion on department-wise proposals under UT Component, ABDP, APDP and Area Development Fund. Key sectors like education, health, municipality and others were covered, with a focus on strengthening grassroots-level infrastructure.

During the review, DDC Nidhi Malik conducted a thorough scrutiny of the proposed works and emphasized that the plan must prioritize community-oriented development over individual-centric benefits. She directed all officials to submit proposals with clear justifications, site photographs and the expected outcomes of each project.

The DDC instructed Block Development Officers (BDOs) to ensure all proposals are vetted and approved through the Gram Sabha before finalization of the Capex Plan. She also stressed the importance of timely execution and regular monitoring of the works post-approval, urging departments to prioritize projects under the Capex Plan 2025–26.

Furthermore, DDC Malik directed all departments to verify that the proposed works are free from land disputes and forest clearance issues, to avoid delays in execution. She underscored the need for departments to align with key performance indicators under ABDP, APDP and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through realistic and inclusive planning.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, CPO Narinder Kumar, ACD Vijay Kumar, CMO, CEO, Executive Engineers of PWD and Jal Shakti, all BDOs and other concerned officers.
