DHS Jammu inspects healthcare services at CHC Ramgarh-Samba

JAMMU, JULY 22: Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar today visited Community Health Centre (CHC) Ramgarh in District Samba and took a comprehensive appraisal of the Health Programmes at Block-Level Review Meeting of. To assess and streamline the functioning of health care services, the DHSJ had a threadbare discussion with all present in the meeting. Block Medical Officer Dr. Lakhwinder Singh presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation highlighting key health indicators, achievements and the overall work done.

Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar took an in-depth review of several critical health services including, functioning of the Drug and Vaccine Distribution Management System (DVDMS) Portal, implementation and utilization of e Sahaj, Ambulance Services and timely referrals, progress under the National TB Elimination Programme, status of e Sanjeevani Telemedicine Services, Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) screening and management, C-section service availability at delivery points, performance of Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), implementation of the National Programme for Control of Blindness, activities under the ASHA programme, progress of other flagship National Health Programmes besides monitoring and reporting under Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) through the Integrated Health Information Platform (IHIP).

The DHSJ emphasized the importance of efficient service delivery, timely reporting, and collaborative efforts to meet the set health targets. He also gave on-spot directions to BMO Ramgarh to ensure effective execution and monitoring for better implementation of every programme. He encouraged all stakeholders to work in synergy for the betterment of public health services. DHS urged all programme officers to focus on community engagement, digital reporting and cross-departmental coordination to achieve the desired outcomes under various health initiatives.

DHSJ also took round of all sections of the hospital and interacted with staff, patients and attendants. DHS emphasized the importance of patient satisfaction and efficient service delivery.
