SHOPIAN, AUGUST 25: Social Welfare department, Shopian today organised an impressive distribution function of motorised tricycles among specially-abled persons at Palash Pinjora, Shopian.

Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Zainapora, Showkat Hussain Ganie and MLA Shopian, Shabir Ahmad Kullay presided over the function, which was attended by a large gathering of people and beneficiaries.
MLAs congratulated the beneficiaries and handed over 27 motorized tricycles along with their keys to the beneficiaries.

While interacting with the disabled persons, MLAs said that the government is extending special care and assistance to persons with special abilities and administration is committed to fulfill the needs of this important section of society.

These motorized tricycles are intended to enhance mobility and support the beneficiaries to foster their independence.

This action was part of a broader social inclusion initiative; ensuring disadvantaged youth have the means to move around independently.
