ANANTNAG, SEPTEMBER 25: As part of the ongoing Sewa Parv-2025 campaign, Area Marketing office, Horticulture Planning and Marketing department, Anantnag, organized an awareness camp and capacity-building workshop at the Fruit & Vegetable Market, Jablipora.
The program aimed to sensitize the farming community about various government initiatives launched for sustainable agricultural development and self-reliance in alignment with the goals of the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan.
Local farmers, traders, representatives from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and other stakeholders participated in the event.
During the camp, officers/officials from the Horticulture (Planning & Marketing) department, and representatives from the Agriculture and Horticulture Production departments delivered technical and informative lectures on various farmer-centric government schemes and support systems. Special emphasis was laid on key initiatives such as HADP, JKCIP, eNAM Trade Integration besides support for grading and packaging infrastructure.
The camp served as an important platform for direct interaction between department officials and farmers, encouraging the adoption of scientific and sustainable practices in horticulture and agri-marketing.
