KISHTWAR, SEPTEMBER 30: Under the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, a series of impactful activities centered on healthcare, cleanliness, environmental sustainability and citizen empowerment were organized across Kishtwar district on Day 13 of Sewa Parv 2025.
The Municipal Council Kishtwar identified and cleared a Cleanliness Target Unit (CTU) at Asrarabad Mohalla (Ward No. 9). The drive, actively supported by ULB staff and Swachhata Executives, sought to eliminate unclean spots and improve sanitation while reinforcing the message of environmental responsibility.
At Palmar, the Marwah Forest Division celebrated Sewa Parv by distributing and planting new saplings, promoting a greener and healthier environment for future generations.
A notable humanitarian gesture was witnessed in Layee Padder, where students and teachers of local Government Degree College organized a donation drive for Girdhari Lal, a bedridden resident suffering from spinal injuries. The group pooled resources to provide essential ration items including rice, wheat, oil, pulses and other household necessities, for the family.
A capacity-building program under Mission Yuva was organised at Government ITI Kishtwar to empower applicants with skill-based training.
The ICDS Department conducted special drives across all Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) of the district to generate Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) IDs and Aadhaar Cards for beneficiaries aged 3 to 6 years.
