BHADERWAH, OCTOBER 15: To review and finalize the necessary arrangements for forthcoming Diwali Festival, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sunil Bhutyal chaired a meeting of functionaries from different Police, Public Works (R&B), Jal Shakti, JPDCL, Municipal, Fire & Emergency Services, Health and Revenue departments.

A detailed discussion was held regarding power and water supply, market regulation, sanitation and cleanliness, traffic management and fire safety measures to ensure smooth and safe celebrations during the festival.

The ADC directed the concerned departments to conduct a special cleanliness drive and illuminate major markets, temples and public places before Diwali. Instructions were also given to the Municipal Committee to ensure proper disposal of waste and debris, while the Police Department was asked to deploy adequate personnel for maintaining law and order and smooth traffic flow.

He directed the Fire & Emergency Department to remain on high alert with ready-to-respond units. The Health Department was also instructed to keep ambulances and emergency medical teams available to deal with any untoward incidents. He urged the local traders and community members to celebrate the festival with environmental responsibility, avoiding plastic and non-eco-friendly materials during lighting and decoration.
