CIPMC Srinagar holds Farmers Field Day at Reshipora, Shopian

SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 17: The Central Integrated Pest Management Centre (CIPMC), Srinagar, under the Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine & Storage, Faridabad, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, conducted a Farmers Field Day programme at Village Reshipora, Zainapora, Shopian.

This event marked the conclusion of the ongoing Farmers Field School (FFS) programme in the area.
Assistant Plant Protection Officer (PP), Dr. Haroon Rashid Hakla, led the programme and distributed Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Kits among the participating farmers in presence of Horticulture Development Officer (HDO), Zainapora.

During his address, Dr. Hakla gave an overview of the FFS programme, highlighting its role in promoting eco-friendly pest management practices and empowering farmers with scientific knowledge to reduce dependency on chemical pesticides.

HDO, Zainapora commended the Central Government’s continuous support and proactive role in taking such impactful programmes to the grassroots level. He extended his gratitude to the CIPMC team for their dedication and successful implementation of the FFS initiative in the village.

Farmers of Reshipora expressed their appreciation for the government’s efforts and the practical benefits received through the FFS programme. They acknowledged the value of IPM practices and the importance of such field-level training initiatives in enhancing sustainable agriculture.

The event concluded with a collective commitment to adopt IPM methods for safer and more productive farming.
