DC Rajouri reviews arrangements for Sardar @150 Padyatra-cum-Unity March

RAJOURI, OCTOBER 30: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma today chaired a meeting to review and finalize the arrangements for the Sardar @150 Padyatra-cum-Unity March, scheduled to be held on 31st October 2025 from Danidhar fort to Dak Bungalow to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India and a great nation builder.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of the preparations including security arrangements, traffic management, sanitation and route marking, besides ensuring smooth coordination among departments for the successful conduct of the event.

He also reviewed the arrangements for cultural programmes, installation of stalls, availability of drinking water and medical facilities along the route. The Deputy Commissioner further directed the officers to conduct a plantation drive as part of the event to spread the message of environmental responsibility and unity.

The DC stressed upon all departments to work in close coordination to ensure the smooth and successful organization of the Padyatra, which aims to promote the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Aatmanirbhar Bharat’.

Among others present in the meeting were ADC Rajouri, Chander Prakash; ACR, Mohd Jahangir Khan; SE PWD, Tilak Raj; Additional SP, Bikram Kumar; ACD, Auqil Naveed; DSWO, Abdul Raheem; CEO, Mohd Hafeez and Nehru Yuva Kendra Coordinator, Nitin Hangloo.
