SAMBA, NOVEMBER 17: Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan today visited the High-Tech Poly House established at Patli Morh, Badhoi.
The facility is the first-of-its-kind in the area and represents a significant advancement in the adoption of modern and scientific agricultural practices in District Samba.
The High-Tech Poly House has achieved a production of approximately 7 quintals of high-quality yield within a period of just three months, demonstrating its efficiency and technological design. The unit operates on a fully temperature-controlled system, providing optimal conditions for the cultivation of multiple fruit varieties throughout the year. Nearly 25 similar units are presently functioning successfully across the region, indicating growing interest among farmers toward controlled-environment agriculture.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the farmers managing the unit and commended their commitment to adopting innovative farming techniques. She encouraged them to continue promoting High-Tech Poly House farming among the local farming community, noting its potential to significantly increase productivity and enhance farmers’ income.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted that climate-controlled poly houses are particularly suitable for the cultivation of high-value fruit crops such as naspati (pear), red aloo bukhara, green aloo bukhara, yellow aloo bukhara and several other fruits that are witnessing rising market demand.
DC Sudan assured the farmers that the District Administration will continue to extend all possible support to progressive farmers and will facilitate the expansion of such modern units to strengthen the agricultural economy of Samba district.
