REASI, NOVEMBER 26: The District Administration Reasi today celebrated Samvidhan Divas 2025 with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at the Auditorium of the DC Office Complex.

The event was presided over by Deputy Commissioner, Nidhi Malik as the chief guest. SSP, Paramvir Singh; ADDC, Sukhdev Singh Samyal; ACR, Nitin Verma; CPO, Narinder Kumar and other officers and officials were also present.

The celebration commenced with the collective reading of the Preamble to the Constitution of India by the participants, reaffirming their commitment to the ideals of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity.

To mark the day, students from different schools presented vibrant cultural performances, reflecting India’s rich diversity and spreading awareness about constitutional values. A short film on the Constitution was also screened, highlighting its evolution, significance and role in shaping modern democratic India.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Nidhi Malik emphasised the importance of nurturing constitutional values among citizens, particularly the youth. She said that the day is of high significance as it marked the formal conclusion of the activities held in the district over the past one year to celebrate the 75 years of the Indian Constitution.

“During the year, the district organised several activities—including cultural programmes, awareness drives, sports events, unity runs and more—to commemorate 75 years of the Constitution,” she added. A pledge ceremony was also held, during which officers and officials renewed their commitment to upholding constitutional ethos.

ADC Reasi, Rakesh Kumar presented the vote of thanks and appreciated the efforts of all departments in making the event a grand success.

As part of the celebrations, a “Run for Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity” was also organised by the District Administration Reasi. Personnel from the J&K Police, district officers and officials and school students enthusiastically participated in the run. The event was flagged off by ADC, Rakesh Kumar from the DC Office Complex and concluded at the General Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium. Students carried the National Flag, presenting an inspiring display of patriotism.

The celebrations concluded with a renewed commitment to preserving the values of the Constitution and promoting unity and harmony in society.
