Unity Run organised at Doda to celebrate Constitution Day

DODA, NOVEMBER 26: To commemorate Constitution Day, the District Administration Doda today organised a grand Unity Run from Boys Higher Secondary School to Sports Stadium.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from thousands of students, teachers, officials and local residents, presenting a vibrant display of unity and national pride.

The Unity Run was jointly flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Anil Kumar Thakur and other Civil and Police officers. The guests lauded the participants and urged them to uphold the ideals of the Indian Constitution, including Justice, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity.

As the rally marched through the town, students and citizens raised slogans promoting unity, peace and national integration.

At the Sports Stadium, the participating officers, students and teachers took a solemn pledge to protect, preserve and abide by the Constitution of India. They reaffirmed their dedication to democratic values and fundamental duties.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the significance of observing Constitution Day. He stated that the Constitution is not just a legal framework but a guiding force that guarantees individual dignity, freedom and equality. He encouraged students to study the Constitution, understand their rights and responsibilities and contribute towards building an inclusive and progressive society.
