SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 18: As part of the nationwide initiative “Apki Poonji, Apka Adhikar – Your Money, Your Right”, J&K UTLBC is organising Mega Facilitation Camps in the districts of Udhampur and Samba on December 19 (Friday) to help citizens in tracing and claiming their unclaimed financial assets.
The Udhampur Mega Facilitation Camp will be held at the Conference Hall, DC Office Udhampur at 11.30 am, while the Samba Camp will take place at the Municipal Council Hall, Vijaypur at 12.30 pm.
These Mega Camps aim to create widespread public awareness about unclaimed financial assets, facilitate resolution of long-pending cases, and ensure that citizens rightfully receive their dues. The camps will provide a common platform for on-the-spot verification and facilitation of claims related to unclaimed bank deposits, insurance proceeds, mutual funds, dividends, shares and other financial assets.
All major financial institutions, banks, insurance companies and representatives of regulatory and statutory bodies including SEBI, EPFO, PFRDA and Investor Education & Protection Fund (IEPF) Authorities will participate in the camps to provide necessary guidance and assistance to the public.
Public representatives, including Members of Parliament (MPs) and Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), have been invited to attend the events. Senior officials from the district administration are also expected to be present to ensure maximum outreach and effective facilitation for the participants.
As part of the programme, cheques for claimed financial assets will be handed over to the rightful owners, reaffirming the collective commitment of the banking and financial ecosystem towards transparency, customer protection and financial empowerment.
The general public is encouraged to participate in large numbers and avail the benefits of these Mega Facilitation Camps.
