RAJOURI, DECEMBER 19: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), in collaboration with the Lead District Bank Office Rajouri, organized a financial literacy awareness programme at block Dangri today.
The event was conducted with the objective of enhancing financial awareness among the general public, particularly on issues related to digital financial literacy, grievance redressal, fraud prevention and social welfare schemes. Branch Manager J&K Bank, local members of Panchayat and representatives from Centre for Financial Literacy (CFL) Rajouri also attended the programme.
Addressing the gathering, Lead District Officer RBI Jammu emphasized the growing relevance of financial literacy in the digital era and urged participants to stay alert against cyber frauds, phishing threats, and unauthorized financial activities. He also highlighted RBI’s initiatives toward promoting safe, inclusive, and transparent banking practices. Session was also delivered on UDGAM portal, Jaan Suraksha Schemes, grievance redressal and customer liability.
The programme witnessed active participation from students, who engaged enthusiastically in discussions and quiz-based interactions. The audience appreciated RBI and the banking officials for conducting the programme and lauded the relevance of financial literacy. Exit quiz was conducted towards the end of session and winners were rewarded.
