RAMBAN, DECEMBER 22: As part of Good Governance Week–2025, the District Administration Ramban, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Alyas Khan, continued its flagship public outreach initiative “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” across the district on Day-4, reaffirming its commitment to transparent, responsive and citizen-centric governance. The campaign is aimed at strengthening last-mile service delivery by taking government services directly to the doorsteps of people, especially in rural and remote areas.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Varunjeet Singh Charak presided over an outreach programme at Bhatni in Block Gandhri. The programme commenced with the National Anthem, setting the tone for participatory governance and public engagement. The ADC inspected departmental stalls established by Labour, ICDS, Animal Husbandry, Health, Banks, Revenue, Rural Development, Horticulture, Agriculture and other line departments to facilitate on-the-spot service delivery, awareness generation and grievances redressal.
Interacting with the public, the ADC emphasized that “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” is aimed at bridging the gap between administration and citizens by ensuring hassle-free access to government schemes and services at the grassroots level. He patiently listened to public grievances and resolved several issues on the spot by issuing necessary directions to the concerned departments. Anticipating winter challenges, he directed the PMGSY and PWD departments to keep men and machinery in readiness to ensure timely snow clearance and uninterrupted road connectivity.
The ADC urged people to proactively avail benefits under various welfare schemes and encouraged them to seek proper guidance from departmental representatives present at the camp. The event also witnessed vibrant cultural performances by local artists and youths reflecting community participation and local heritage.
Similarly, an outreach camp was organized at Block Ukhral, where Tehsildar, Nasir Javid presided over the programme. He sensitized the public to grievances redressal mechanisms and stressed transparency, accountability and effective service delivery.
Key schemes highlighted during programmes included Financial Inclusion initiatives, PM Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana, PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana, JK Samadhan, PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, KCC, PMAY, PMJAY-Sehat and public safety awareness initiatives.
