KISHTWAR, DECEMBER 22: As part of the ongoing IEC Campaign against Drug Abuse, the District Administration Kishtwar in collaboration with the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) District Center, organised Nukkad Natak (Street Theatre) to promote Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

The awareness programme was organised under the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, Pankaj Kumar Sharma and under the supervision of the District Information Officer, Dr. Kuldeep Kumar.

The Nukkad Natak was presented by the artists of Kishtwar Act Production at prominent public locations including the General Bus Stand, and Historic Chowgan Ground to ensure maximum public outreach.

Through the Nukkad Natak (street theatre), the general public was made aware of the harmful effects of drug abuse and the need to stay away from substance addiction. The programme received a positive response from the public, reflecting the administration’s commitment towards building a drug-free society.

The initiative formed part of the District Administration’s continued efforts to spread awareness, particularly among the youth and to encourage community participation in the fight against drug abuse.
