BUDGAM, DECEMBER 24: Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Khansahib, Jahangir Ahmed Giri, today conducted a surprise inspection of the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Waterhail to review the service delivery system and adherence to duty rosters.
During the inspection, one Dental Surgeon was found unauthorisedly absent from duty. Taking serious note of the lapse, the SDM recommended the matter to the Health Department for initiating necessary disciplinary action as warranted under rules. Meanwhile, the salary of the concerned official has been withheld till further orders.
The SDM also inspected a private school which had sought issuance of a chemical certificate. Upon verification, it was found that the school lacked proper safety measures and adequate storage facilities for chemicals.
The school management was directed to first put in place the requisite safety and storage mechanisms before applying for the chemical certificate.
Further, the Tehsildar concerned, who had submitted the file for issuance of the certificate, was directed to submit an explanation for forwarding the case without proper verification and authentication of the mandatory laboratory requirements.
