REASI, DECEMBER 30: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Nidhi Malik today chaired a meeting of the District Road Safety Committee to review and strengthen road safety measures across the district.
The Superintending Engineer, PWD presented a detailed Road Safety Action Plan. The Deputy Commissioner conducted a comprehensive division-wise review of the plan’s implementation in consultation with the concerned Executive Engineers. The key components discussed included the installation of crash barriers, proper road signage and construction of parapets to enhance road safety.
Emphasizing accountability and optimal utilization of resources, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to furnish detailed information on funds allocated under the Road Safety Act, their utilization and a list of ongoing and completed works. She also stressed the identification of accident-prone black spots across the district as a priority to facilitate timely corrective measures.
The meeting was attended by SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh, ADC Reasi Rakesh Kumar, SDM Mahore, CMO, Executive Engineers and other concerned officers.
