REASI, JANUARY 07: To address public issues and grievances, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Reasi, Nidhi Malik today convened a public grievance redressal Camp, here at Dandali in Panchayat Dhansal, Block Arnas.

A large number of residents from Dandali and surrounding areas participated and apprised the DDC of issues related to road connectivity, drinking water supply, power supply, healthcare, education, mobile connectivity and other civic amenities.

Representatives from Dhansal Panchayat raised demands seeking employment under SRO-43 for eligible persons, promotion of Lapri Top as a tourist destination, opening of a Khidmat Centre, upgradation of Government High School at Dandali, improvement in mobile network services and concessions in electricity bills.

People from Judda and Dhansal Panchayats projected the demand for release of land compensation and pending payments under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), opening of additional Anganwadi Centres, establishment of a Primary Health Centre (PHC), development of a playground at Dhansal, realignment of the Kanthan–Sawalkote road constructed under PMGSY near the railway station, inclusion of eligible families under BPL and filling of vacant posts in schools and health institutions.

Similarly, representatives from Fanti demanded upgraded road connectivity from Fanti to Ghosai, completion of the lift irrigation scheme, opening of a bank branch and establishment of a PHC in the area.

Addressing the gathering, DDC Nidhi Malik assured that all genuine cases under SRO-43, involving families affected by militancy-related incidents, would be provided employment as per rules. She directed the Tehsildar Arnas to verify the status of BPL inclusions and assured that all deserving households would be extended benefits.

Responding to issues related to school upgradation and filling of vacant posts, she said the same would be taken up with concerned authorities for early resolution.

The DDC directed the concerned departments to inquire into pending JJM payments, while directing the PMGSY department to expedite road works and ensure timely completion. She warned that random dumping of earth would not be tolerated. Directions were also issued for the release of pending land compensation.

The Chief Medical Officer was directed to prepare estimates for the repair of the Sub-Centre building at Panchayat Dhansal.

The DDC also urged the local community to identify suitable land for the development of a playground, highlighting the importance of engaging youth in constructive activities to keep them away from drug abuse.
The camp was attended by MLA Reasi Kuldeep Raj Dubey, DDC Member Raj Kumari, ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, ADC Rakesh Kumar, CPO Narinder Kumar, ACD, CEO and other senior officers.
