ANANTNAG, FEBRUARY 13: District Administration Anantnag has finalised arrangements for the smooth observance of the upcoming holy month of Ramzan-ul-Mubarak in the district.

In this regard, a comprehensive meeting of the concerned officers was held today, during which all necessary arrangements were reviewed and finalised.

At the outset, the concerned departments were directed to ensure sufficient and uninterrupted supply of essential commodities, drinking water, and electricity, besides maintaining high standards of sanitation especially in areas with heavy public movement.

To prevent hoarding of essential commodities and ensure their availability at fair prices, Legal Metrology and market-checking teams were asked to carry out regular inspections within their jurisdictions.
Directions were also issued regarding the proper installation and repair of street lights in market areas, around mosques, and at places of congregation.

Further, the need for effective traffic and parking management to avoid congestion during peak hours, Iftar, and late-night prayers was stressed.

The meeting was attended by the ACR, SE Hydraulics, SE M&RE Bijbihara, SDMs, Dy Director Fisheries, DySP HQ, AD FCS&CA, EOs MCs, representatives of the CMO, CAHO, AC FSD, DLMO, CEO MCA, ARTO, DySP Traffic, and other officers and officials.
