REASI, FEBRUARY 26: Under the visionary leadership of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Reasi (also Pr. District and Sessions Judge Reasi), Khalil Choudhary and the guidance of Secretary, DLSA Reasi, Pooja Gupta, a Mediation review meeting was organized at Reasi Court Complex with the Mediators of DLSA Reasi.
The status of Mediation cases was discussed with the Mediators and ALADCs. Detailed discussions were held regarding effective implementation of mediation procedures, early disposal of cases through amicable settlements and enhancing public awareness about the benefits of mediation as an alternative dispute resolution mechanism.
Secretary Pooja Gupta emphasized the importance of mediation in reducing the pendency of cases and promoting harmony between parties by resolving disputes in a peaceful and cost-effective manner. She appreciated the efforts of the mediators and encouraged them to actively take up more cases for settlement through dialogue and mutual understanding.
The mediators present in the meeting shared their experiences and highlighted practical challenges faced during mediation proceedings. Constructive suggestions were also discussed to further streamline the mediation process in the district.
