BANDIPORA, MARCH 28: As part of the ongoing awareness activities under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), an awareness programme was conducted at Town Hall MC Hajin on Saturday to sensitise people about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the need for a healthy and responsible lifestyle.
The programme was organised with Municipal Committee (MC) Bandipora as the nodal department, in collaboration with the Social Welfare, Health, Labour & Employment and Urban Local Bodies departments.
During the programme, participants were sensitised about the ill-effects of substance abuse and its impact on individuals, families and society at large. Resource persons highlighted the importance of early prevention, awareness and coordinated community efforts to curb the menace of drug abuse.
Speakers emphasised the role of youth and civil society in building a drug-free society and urged participants to actively contribute towards spreading awareness in their respective areas.
Participants were encouraged to act as ambassadors of the anti-drug campaign and disseminate the message of a drug-free society among the masses.
