REASI, MAY 06: Under the visionary leadership of Chairman District Legal Services Authority Reasi (Pr. District and Sessions Judge) Khalil Choudhary and the guidance of Secretary Pooja Gupta, an awareness programme on the National Lok Adalat scheduled on May 9, 2026 was organized today here at the District Court Complex and at Legal Aid Clinic- GDC Bagga.

The participants were sensitized to the significance of National Lok Adalat as an effective mechanism for amicable settlement of disputes. Emphasis was laid on the benefits of resolving cases through Lok Adalat, including expeditious disposal, cost effectiveness and the finality of awards. The attendees were encouraged to take maximum benefit of this opportunity by getting their disputes settled in the forthcoming Lok Adalat.

The programme witnessed active participation and interaction, reflecting growing awareness among the public regarding alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.

The initiative witnessed active participation and was well-received by the local residents, who appreciated the efforts of DLSA Reasi in spreading legal awareness at the grassroots level.
Meanwhile, awareness programmes on Road Safety Rules were organized at Police Station Dewal by TLSC Mahore and the DLSA Reasi at LAC Goswan.

The awareness initiative was carried out under the aegis of Legal Aid Clinic (LAC) Dewal B with the objective of educating the general public about the importance of adhering to road safety norms.

The PLVs highlighted key aspects of road safety including the use of helmets and seat belts, dangers of over-speeding, drunken driving, use of mobile phones while driving and the importance of following traffic rules and signals. They also sensitized the participants about legal consequences of traffic violations and emphasized the role of citizens in ensuring safer roads.
