REASI, MAY 08: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Kumar Abhishek today chaired a meeting to review the process for issuance of permissions for construction and reconstruction of commercial and residential structures in rural areas of the district.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for proper scrutiny and transparency in granting permissions for building construction. He directed the concerned officers to conduct joint verification of the proposed construction sites to ensure adherence to prescribed norms and regulations.

The stakeholder departments were further asked to issue No Objection Certificates as per established norms and in a time-bound manner to avoid unnecessary delays in the permission process. The DC emphasized the importance of thoroughly examining building site plans before granting approvals.

To streamline the process and ensure uniformity, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to prepare and adopt a common format for issuance of building permissions across all the departments.

He further instructed the officers to verify whether constructions in rural areas are being undertaken with proper permissions and to take appropriate action in case of violations. He emphasized strict monitoring to ensure planned and regulated development in the district.

The meeting was attended by ADC Rakesh Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, SDMs, Tehsildars and BDOs.
